Marketing and Recruitment

UOM Enterprise has an engaging marketing and recruitment team who plays a vital role within the university. The team communicates the University’s value and share crucial information to future students and the wider community. The team will help a student understand the courses available on the market, listen to the needs of the students and guide them towards choosing the appropriate pathway to shaping their future.

The team provides one to one counseling to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students and gives out prospectuses and other key documents to students, as well as organising and participating in recruitment activities such as:

  • Open days
  • Education and career fairs
  • Road shows
  • Free taster lectures
  • Presentation in colleges

Administration and Student Support

We support our students to the best of our abilities at UOM Enterprise. Students are encouraged to contact the student support team for any matters they think may affect their studies:

Eg:

  • Mitigating circumstances – need of extension for assignment submissions
  • Change of Circumstances (interruption of studies or withdrawal from course)
  • Complaints
  • Online enrolment guidance
  • Navigating the online learning platform (Blackboard)

The student support team work closely with other departments and they will guide you or relay your query to the concerned department.

Our Facilities

Our campus is on the first floor of The Core Building in Ebene.

Located at the doorsteps of the financial, banking and BPO-ICT hub of Mauritius, Ebene Cybercity, and just opposite the Ebene Commercial Centre, The Core building is at the heart of a strategic location par excellence.

Students will find, within walking distance, a practical shopping mall with a selection of small shops, a pharmacy and a food court with many modern restaurants and cafes with a variety of food options.

The metro station is also within 10 minutes’ walk from the campus.

UOM Enterprise comprises of:

  • State of the art classrooms
  • A computer laboratory with around 30 high performance computers that students can use to access the online resources of the main campus.
  • A library consisting of a variety of textbooks covering the various modules taught. These books are available mostly for reference but, where multiple copies are available, students can borrow them on a short-term loan basis.
  • Extensive resources are also provided by the University of Central Lancashire’s Learning Information Services (LIS) to support students during their studies. LIS subscribes to the following resources which are available online for students studying at partner institutions. These resources are licensed for educational use only and include:

  5. E-Newspapers
  6. Research Repository
  • A cozy lunchroom for students, equipped with a big smart TV, where students can have lunch and take a break from lectures. Board games are also available upon request.
  • Student-led clubs – the Law Society and the Rotaract Club. Members of these clubs organise diverse activities in view of helping the community and addressing important social issues. Cultural activities and competitions are also organised to regroup students and contribute towards a fun and positive student experience.
